How does the KNMI handle your personal data?

The KNMI only uses your personal data for the purpose u have shared them with us. Did you for instance share your name and adress with us via a contact form to ask a question or request a brochure? Then the KNMI will not use your data for other purposes, unless explicitly mentioned otherwise in the form. The KNMI takes the protection of your data seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorized modification.

Sharing of personal data

The KNMI does not share your data with third parties and only provides this information if necessary to comply with a legal obligation. The KNMI deletes your data when it is no longer needed.

Viewing, changing or deleting data

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data that KNMI processes about you. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you may have given for data processing. This means you can submit a request to us to send you the personal data we hold about you in a computer file, or to have it corrected or deleted. You can do this by sending a letter or using the contact form (in this case, select KNMI General as the subject).

The KNMI would also like to point out that you have the option to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
