Wind

The wind is always present somewhere on Earth. Wind consists of air movements in the layer of air around the Earth (atmosphere), driven by differences in temperature. KNMI measures wind on a mast at a height of 10 metres. If this is not possible on location, measurements are converted to a 10-metre height so that data remain comparable.
